📍Babs, West Nile Street . So for months now @laurenscravings has been trying to take me, @blondieandthefeast and @feedingdeedee to @babsglasgow and yesterday we FINALLY found the time and I think it’s safe to say I’m now a Babs convert. . It was the perfect kind of food for the beautiful sunny weather yesterday, so fresh and colourful. This was the hummus chicken shawarma, with chargrilled chicken thighs, sundries tomato houmous, harissa mayo, grilled artichoke, parsley onion salad and house pickles. SO GOOD! Are you a @babsglasgow fan?

📍Loop & Scoop, Great Western Rd . Is this not just ideal ice cream weather?! I could seriously go a couple of scoops of the incredible gelato from @loopandscoop right now. I had the Kinder flavour last time and it was AMAZING! Whats your favourite flavour? . P.S. HAPPY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

So I’ve been thinking a lot today about how our tastes change over the years... . When I was a kid (and even into my late teens tbh) I was SUCH a fussy eater. I lived on beige food and I wouldn’t try ANYTHING. Honestly, my friends parents hated having me to stay cause they never knew what to cook for me 🙈 . Now though, I’m an actual hoover. I will try anything and I eat pretty much whatever is put in front of me because life is worth living and food is for eating 😂 Like this beautiful ricotta dish with blood orange and salt baked beets from @eusebi_deli . . I’m curious though - are there things you never used to eat that you willingly chow down on now? Tell me how your tastes have changed?

📍The Gannet, Argyle Street . Finally made it back to @thegannetgla for a lunch date with the wonderful @singinsofia and it was well worth the wait. We opted for the six course tasting menu and everything was outstanding. . This was course number two: Hereford beef carpaccio, black garlic mayo, egg yolk emulsion and a crispy potato galette. I cannot WAIT to go back - have you been to The Gannet?

📍East Coffee Company, Duke Street . Earlier this week I took myself for brunch @east_coffeecompany for the first time and damn, it was good. Now that we’re in the east end I’m just slowly working my way through all the amazing brunch spots and this one is definitely worth a visit! . These buttermilk pancakes were served with maple berry compote, frosted walnuts, granola, vanilla whipped cream, basil and orange zest butter. The orange zest butter was seriously amazing, I could have taken a block of it home. Who wouldn’t want that for breakfast on a sunny Friday morning?

Burger anyone? This is the @publichousebynico with barbecue pulled pork and chorizo jam and it is heavenly. It’s a bit awkward to have as a sharing plate, but definitely one worth ordering. The sweet pulled pork is so well balanced with the savoury chorizo jam and gooey cheese. Burgers are always a winner, aren’t they?

📍Horn Please, Sauchiehall St . That’s right, @horn_please_glasgow have moved from Berkeley St to Sauchiehall St and I can’t wait to see the new space! Plus, eating this grilled duck breast with butter sauce again would be an absolute treat. Had an absolute feast when I visited their old spot back in January with @laurenscravings and this dish was definitely a highlight! . Have you been yet? I’m definitely planning a visit!

Never come between a woman and her burger 😂 . I was lucky enough to be #invited along to the soft launch of the brand new @breadmeatsbread at Glasgow Fort by @glasgowfoodgeek and it was, as always, a wonderful experience! . The poutines at BMB are a wonder to behold and their burgers are some of the best in Glasgow so this can only be an amazing addition to the Fort. It’s open NOW so make sure you stop in this weekend! I mean, what better way to end a shopping trip?!

Sashimi, anyone? . I’m definitely NOT a raw fish person, even though I love seafood, but when @laurenscravings ordered this sashimi taco @downtoearthglasgow it looked too good not to sample. I was actually so pleasantly surprised, it was so full of flavour, so thanks Lauren for making me eat raw fish 😂 Would you eat sashimi?!
